Student Research Assistant

Venkatesh “Venki” Subramanian is a graduate student in the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences, majoring in Social Data Analytics and Research. Previously, he studied Physics at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka and then worked as a data analyst in the private sector for 2.6 years. Currently, he is pivoting to the public/social sector, hoping to use his analytical skills for doing good better. He has an interest in topics related to Data Science, Economics, Effective Altruism, Network theory and Complexity Science. He is a Tamilan from Chennai, India.

At ASL, he contributes to the Telescope blog. In addition, he hopes to inculcate proper research methodologies in microprojects involving the measurement of human societies.
