Michael Warner is the Redesign Grant Program Manager for John Adams Middle School in Grand Prairie Independent School District and is currently a doctoral student at UT Dallas pursuing a PhD in Philosophy with a concentration in Visual and Performing Arts through the School of Arts and Humanities. He is interested in the increasing need for collaborative learning environments & the self-directed nature of engagement, play, and discovery as a way to increase student success in the classrooms. He has 12 years of field experience managing programs for students, directing the efforts of after-school programs, leading non-profit organizations and working for and alongside school districts for student change. His research and career efforts seek to connect art, music, philosophy, history, and engineering to technology.
