The Watering Hole

What is the watering Hole?

The watering hole ; Also referred to as WaterHole is a place where animals go to drink water together. It has been said that at watering  Holes, animals that are usually preying on one another observe a temporary truce. Although this concept of truce has been proven inconsistent, the idea of ‘truce at a place of refreshment’ is the metaphorical basis of the Art Sci Lab’s Watering Hole.

The refreshment that we refer to as water is knowledge and ideas from different disciplines. The different animals represent people from different backgrounds and disciplines and ages drinking together from a pool of interdisciplinary , trans-disciplinary Knowledge.

The core value of interdisciplinary exchange is the backbone to the vision of the Art Science Lab

The Art Science Lab weekly Watering Hole Seminar is held on Thursdays from 4PM -5:20 PM . It is a hybrid format with some guests physically present at the lab in ATEC 3.209. The seminar is semi casual and its purpose is to foster conversation, collaboration, and creation . We tend to have diverse participants ; and each meeting has different dynamics.
