George Morgan has a BA in Creative Writing from California State University Channel Islands and an MFA in Writing for the Performing Arts through the University of California Riverside’s Palm Desert graduate writing program. He is currently pursuing a PhD from the University of Texas, Dallas.
George is an author, playwright, and screenwriter with three books and more than two dozen stage plays and screenplays to his credit. His play Second To Die was adapted into a feature film starring Paul Winfield and Erika Eleniak. He has won numerous awards, including Short Line, which won first place in the International Family Film Festival screenwriting contest and Rocket Girl, nominated by Broadway World for “Best Play of the Decade”.
George is an active member of both the Dramatists Guild and the Writers Guild of America. He and his wife Lisa live in McKinney, Texas with their three adopted children Dalton, Marijane, and Joey.
