Eric Fulbright is a Visiting Artist at UTD’s ArtSciLab and an Exhibit Advisor for the Doors of Delusion Exhibit.
He is studying curation, olfactory art, and archeology, which he will incorporate into pursuing art and adventure as a joint career. He will be exploring unique art forms around the world and sharing the stories of people who have kept these art forms alive over time. He will curate art exhibits that showcase the impact of these works and the communities that bring them to life.
His research currently lies in the development of a new medium that hybridizes controlled aroma patterns with changing textures, working together as one synonymous language made from smell and touch. This will hopefully prompt mindfulness of the senses, provoke a subtle form of synesthesia, and create art that can be accessed and appreciated by somebody without vision or hearing.
He is currently preparing to learn regenerative forestry in Porto, Portugal, where he will be pursuing the artistic goals described.
